Hearing on the appeal instituted by Senator Buruji Kashamu of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), which is confronting the decision of the Ogun State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, has been truncated. This is due to the disbandment of the panel of judges. It would be recalled that the Tribunal, presided over by Justice Ebiowei Tobi, had ordered a rerun in 110 polling units in Ogun East senatorial district.Specifically, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had queried the declaration of Kashamu as winner of the March 28 senatorial election. However, the Registrar of Ibadan Division of the Court of Appeal told parties in the suit that the Appeal Court President, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa had dissolved the panel and that a new one has been constituted.
