Of recent, both parties have been pointing accusing fingers at each other. Three weeks earlier, some people were apprehended at Isiokpo Street for allegedly printing out fake result sheets for the elections. The Rivers state governor, Wike accused APC party of being behind it with the accused party dismissing it. However, nothing has been heard of the outcome of police investigations. The governor also raised alarm that APC, INEC and the police have conspired to rig the elections, an allegation all three have individually denied. The governor even went on further stating he had video proof of a secret meeting between the police and the leaders of APC and threatened to release it.In response, APC dismissed the allegations as efforts made by the governor to sway attention from his own intended plan to rig the elections.Public secretary of the party, Mr. Chris Finebone stated that the governor was throwing allegations at the party because his own plans to rig the elections have met a dead end.
