Suspected kidnappers cornered by police in Rivers State

Four suspected kidnappers were been cornered by the Nigeria Police Force fully armed and en route for operation along Azikiwe road, Port Harcourt.According to Leadership news, a statement made by the state’s police force DPO, Don Awunah is as follows, ”˜In continuation of targeted onslaught against crime and criminality throughout the country, the Inspector of police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) recorded a major breakthrough in Rivers and Bayelsa states’.He stated that based on creditable information and public support, the IRT cornered a 4 man kidnapping gang en route for an operation. A gun fight ensued leaving 3 of them fatally injured and one arrested.He also said that fully loaded guns and ammunitions were recovered from the kidnappers and that the arrested member was fully complying with the police.
