In 2005 a state appeals court reinstated a murder conviction against Marjorie Knoller. Knoller was again jailed in 2008 after a judge reinstated her murder conviction. On Sep 22 Knoller was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

A remote-controlled bomb planted on a bicycle exploded, killing one police officer and one civilian in the eastern city of Ghazni.
