A 400-level Pharmacy student, Lauretta Obakpolo, has emerged winner of the just concluded election of Students’ Union Government (SUG) at University of Benin (UNIBEN).Obakpolo won the Presidential seat after beating five other candidates with 2,283 votes.The moment she was declared winner by the electoral committee, her supporters moved round the campus singing victory songs.According to reports, before the election, many students did not envisage her as a worthy candidate but the tables turned the day she unveiled her manifesto.
