University of Jos (UNIJOS) branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), on Friday began what it termed an indefinite strike apparently to press home their demands for improved working conditions.Its Chairman, Professor F. C. Piwuna in a statement said ASUU’s National Executive Council had approved the action.According to the statement, “The NEC of ASUU has approved our request for total, indefinite and comprehensive strike starting immediately. It means that all activities ”” teaching, supervision, examination as well as statutory and ad hoc committee meetings ”” have been suspended.”
