5 Oil Marketers Barred From Supplying Aviation Fuel

Five oil marketing companies have been directed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to stop supplying aviation fuel, known as Jet A1 to airlines due to lack of depot facilities.The barred companies are Lubcon Limited, Jushad Oil and Gas Limited, Acon Petroleum Limited, Ascon Oil Company Limited, and Star Orient Aviation Limited.NCAA made this known in a circular titled, “Notice of Suspension of Some Companies from Providing Aviation Fuel Supply Services to Airlines at Airports in Nigeria.”The regulatory body explained in the circular that the reason for the suspension was that the barred companies did not have depots and therefore should not be engaged in the distribution of aviation fuel at the airports.Benedict Adeyileka, the Director Airworthiness Standards signed the circular on behalf of the Director-General of NCAA.
