Borno PDP Chairman Suspended

The Borno State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Baba Basharu has been suspended by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party. A statement signed by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh said Basharu was suspended over alleged anti-party activities. According to the statement, ‘The NWC of the PDP took the decision after preliminary hearing on reports of various activities inimical to the progress of the party, especially flouting the provisions of article 58 (1), (b), (c), (f) and (h) of the PDP constitution.’
