President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, declared December 24, 25 and 28 as public holidays to observe Maulud Nabi, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, respectively.
Interior Minister, Lt. -Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, (rtd) announced this in a statement made by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr Bassey Akpanyung.
Dambazau urged both Muslims and Christians in the country to use the period to ask God for peace and unity in Nigeria.
