WHO Declares Liberia Ebola Free

It is a milestone, as the Ebola outbreak that ravaged West Africa and began in Guinea in December 2013, spreading to Liberia and other West African countries, is finally gone. This deadly virus which has killed over 11,000 Liberian people in 2014. Although Ebola has once been declared free in Liberia in May last year, but there was another case of two people who contacted the disease. There is a fresh declaration that Liberia is now Ebola free, though the threat is not completely gone. The declaration was made because 42 days have passed since anyone has made a report of having Ebola and the last person confirmed to have Ebola tested negative for the second time, a WHO statement said.
