Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) F.C’s Austin Ogunye expects his side to emerge victorious in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 38 encounter with Ifeanyi Ubah F.C as they look to avoid relegation from the top flight.Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side started the season promisingly but have tailed off in the second half of the season rather disappointingly, with a win against their continental ticket-chasing visitors the only way for them to escape relegation, provided results elsewhere work in their favour.“I don’t think we need anybody to tell us how important our game against Ifeanyiubah is,” Ogunye told MFM Media.“It’s a game of our lives and we are ready to fight because anything less than a victory means we are relegated.“We have been training very hard since we returned from Lokoja and the coaching staff are not leaving anything to chance, their programmes this week have been great, our response in training have been very impressive and the spirit in camp is really high as well.“So I believe we will emerge victorious on Sunday,” he said. With home side proving to be a crucial advantage in the NPFL, Ogunye has urged MFM’s fans to get behind the team at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.“I will like to tell our wonderful fans to come all out in their numbers and cheer us to victory and to be patient with the team in case we didn’t score early goals because sometimes when the goals delay their kind words and support can really help us,” he concluded.
