Rivers Re-run Elections: APC takes lead

The Rivers State elections which held on the 10th of December have results coming in with the APC party taking the lead.

Hon. Friday Nkeeh of the APC party has been declared the winner of Rivers State House of Assembly for the Khana Constituency 2. He raked in 15,000 votes to defeat his opponent, Dirubari Loolo of PDP who had 4,000 votes.Hon. Maurice Pronen scored 68,219 votes, also of the APC party, landing him seat of House of Assembly Khana/Gokana Constituency. His contender, Dum Deeker of PDP scored 20,329 votes.Dr. Innocent Bariker and Dr. Barry Mpigi, both of the APC party scored 24,624 votes and 48,760 votes for the Gokana and Tai/Oyigbo/Eleme federal constituencies respectively, thus declaring them the winners of both constituencies.The results were announced by Prof. G.G.Osuagu of Michael Okpara University who is also the returning officer of the Khana Local Government.
