Stoke Begin Contract Renewal Talks with Bojan

Bojan Krkic is set to receive an improved contract offer from Stoke City. Sources said that the 25-year-old Spaniard, who was signed from Spanish giants Barcelona for a paltry sum of £1m in the summer of 2014, has been the subject of interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. However, Potters boss, Mark Hughes, is adamant on letting him go and wants him to remain at the Britannia Stadium and it is understood that talks will begin soon over improved terms. Earlier this month, Hughes denied claims that Bojan’s contract contained a £10m buy-out clause. Bojan who signed a four-year deal has two-and-a-half years left, and has been an instrumental part of the club’s improvement under Hughes. Capped once by Spain, Bojan has scored five goals in 21 games this season and 10 in 39 appearances since leaving the Nou Camp.
